I have been a member on forum for a few months, but have eventually got around to ordering a car. Today I ordered a Hybrid Dynamic in Metal Stream with leather. Delivery is due the 27th of this this month. it seems availability is good for certain specs. Dealer told me there were plenty of basic Hybrid Dynamics in Metal Stream. But any other colour would be May delivery. Looking forward to taking delivery later this month

Yes as I said in another thread the metal stream will be the most common colour on the road.

Regardless it is the one that Toyota chose to use in their advertising as it does show off the shape and design far better.

Great choice. We ordered a hybrid dynamic yesterday, our choice was either metal stream or decuma grey, we were told we wouldn't get the metal stream before the car tax changes on 1st April as this was the most popular and hence most ordered colour, but we could have decuma grey for 24th March so we went for that. I haven't seen the decuma grey in the flesh so hope it's as classy as the metal stream! I guess dealers must have different colour allocations looking at the delivery times available.

Had a caller from the dealer today, my car is at a depot (He's not sure where) but assumes it in the UK. I will definitely get the car before the end of the month - so he says!!! fingers crossed, I actually live near Portbury Dock and there is a cycle path that we use that goes right past the compound. Always hundreds of new Toyotas parked up there after they have come off the transporter.

Caroline, Decuma grey is lovely and blends well with the grey cladding.

Be sure to order an accessories so they are ready on collection

Mudflaps were a mere £32.40 inc (DIY and took 30 mins to fit)
4 x Wind deflectors fitted were £73.63 inc fitting+ VAT

I think you are right about different dealers. Mine was the opposite. They had a Metal Stream available almost immediately but Dacuma Grey would have been a three month wait.

That was the same for me Metal Stream was available but anything else was May delivery

I have told my dealer they are to pay for the VED for the 3 years if the car isn't delivered by 31st march as promised. After having read some of your comments I'm worried the delivery date might change.

For me is one of toyota biggest problems. The lack of information passed to the customer about deliveries and keeping us up to date. It has always fallen in me to chase them up. Pretty frustrating.

you will find that with most dealers across the board, they might call you by surname when you walk in etc but somewhere along the line you will have problems. It can happen don't get me wrong but when I was waiting for a range rover it ended up being delivered 3 months later than initially told which was around 6 months wait to begin with! Did get a hamper from F&M to be fair to them.

Walked along the footpath by Portbury Dock today, the footpath runs right by the Toyota Compound and there were at least a100 CHRs lined up along with RAV4s, Hilux's, Landcruiser's and all the other Toyota Models, all waiting to go out to the Dealers

I agree, I had my phone, but there is a fine green mesh all over the fence and you had to look through 2 rows of hilux's and vans
