CHR 2.0 litre, 14,000 miles, booked in for it's second service. The dealer recommends an engine flush (which also cleans the injectors??). Is this approved or recommended by Toyota?

Sounds like a con to me. Never heard of it before, and never been suggested to me in 13 years of owning Toyota hybrids.

Well, if you drive like me, there will be no deposits on the injectors. But that's not actually a bad idea if car is driven often at slow speeds with little to no "pedal to the metal".
This used to be a big problem for diesel cars driven at all times with fuel economy in mind.

I don't know, maybe someone here may had the same recommendation while servicing the car.

I think upselling is more honest than this. Recommending something you don't understand and don't need is a con.
