As the topic says, there is a problem with my driver's side window.
When i roll the window down a few inches it rattles. Anyone else have this problem? Please confirm.
I made some research and found an older thread of toyota tacoma that had this problem, and the solution was something with 3M double sided foam tape at the rubber weatherstrip area. So im thinking now, has something to do with the wind noise? Cz wind noise cause was the weatherstrip that needed to be replaced.

If the dealer installed an alarm and they removed the door panel you should take it back and ask them to fix it.
My car is with alarm yes, but im not sure if the dealer installed it or if was from factory. How can i find out ?
Also, how is the door panel related with alarm? Is the alarm inside door panel?

If it is an aftermarket part that rolls up the windows when you arm the system maybe they had to access the wires of the door switch panel? Just guessing. What you are describing is not a usual Toyota problem it is the kind of thing that i would expect in a new Audi maybe lol. This is why my mind goes to someone messing with your door panel and the fact that you have an alarm.

Im sure is not aftermarket, but not sure if the Toyota dealer installed the alarm or was from factory. Will go to the dealer and ask them to see what they will say :?

Mine rattles too. Only when the window is 1-2 inch down. If I lower it more the rattle stops.
Thanks for your confirmation. Mine rattles at these 2 situations:
1. while the window is open at middle level, when i push the button to go 1-2 clicks down (not hold it, not to go all automatic down) it rattles, then again, until it reaches 3/4 of fully opened window. It does this only if the window is on the middle and until it reaches 3/4.
2. While i driving at bumpy road and at the same time i roll the window all down while is going down is shaking/rattling.

Btw i don't think dealer should remove door panel to install alarm system.
I suspect bad assembly from factory here.
Yes, maybe only if it was aftermarket alarm and needed for rolling up the windows when activated. Will go to Toyota and see what they think, hopefully they can see it and is fixable.

Mine rattle 8mm side to side. It feels like they are attached by one mount in the middle.
Did u go to dealer to check it ? I didnt go yet, but is really weird for me to do it only when is half open while rolling it down for 1-2 clicks.

God no they just call me names and last time i took it in for ecu replacement my aircon mysteriously started leaking gas. Im done with letting them near the car unless totally necessary. Just wanted you to know yours is the same as mine so possibly "normal" for this car.
