Doors Auto Lock

When I walked away from the car with the smart key all the doors would lock automatically after a few seconds. Not today. Any ideas? Was the option accidentally disable where to go to re-enable?

Might you have encountered the re-locking timeout, where if you unlock the car and then dont open any doors for a period then it will re-lock (regardless of whether you are walking away or not)?

There is no such option on Toyota cars - my previous Prius was exactly the same.
It must have been the auto relock after 30 seconds.
The time out can be altered via Techstream.

When opening with the fob it can be set to 30,60 or 120 seconds.

This only works when unlocking and not opening a door within the given time.
Tested more today pretending I forgot to lock the door. Walked away with the smart key and the doors locked nicely without my intervention. Wasn't the case yesterday. I'm confused best practice always lock the door!
I am getting curious... did you start/drive the car and then turned it off, left it with the doors open and then it locked?
Have to try that today.

I already found my car "open" the other morning because I forgot to lock it
But it was still there, thankfully.
My C HR does not lock the doors automatically when driving off. What must I do?

It's not the Auto OBD Speed Lock when driving off. I was referring to parking the car, turning off the engine and just walking away from the car. Had cases when the door would auto lock and other times no any locking. Not sure what the pattern is.
I'm surprised it would auto lock once you got out and walked away. What if you left a passenger in the car?
Never seen a car do that before.

Passenger from inside should always be able to unlock the car. The same holds true when you drive with doors locked and get into accident. All doors should auto unlock. Not aware of any cars that would not do that be default.
