Got my CH-R in May and love it except the RSA is so annoying.
Signs disappear for no good reason, always at the same place on my run into town or erroneous ones are picked up and then warning buzzer starts and doesn't turn off until it locates another sign.
It also loses the speed limit when the engine is turned off and then back on.
Is this a common fault or just mine?
How can I get it sorted without disabling an otherwise useful function?

Forgive my ignorance but what is the RSA?
I have never had a buzzer sound that wont turn off.
What signs are disappearing?

Sound? What sound? I can see it working but never heard something.
I use to check speed limits on the map. I like the red color on a yellow bacround  .
Pag. 686
Sound can be turned on or off (default off).

RSA is to me a gimmick, a gadget. It's useless because of the inacurracy. Sometimes it sees a sign and then on another day it doesn't see the same sign when passing by. And a lot of the time it just tells me the wrong speedlimit because it doesn't recognice certain signs like beginning/ending of villages and such... I just stopt looking at the RSA and turned off the sound.

Would not go so far as to say its a useless gimmick. It feels more to me like a first stab at some new technology. It is not reliable but is sometimes useful. It also amuses me. I mentioned elsewhere that it interpreted a dirty 20mph sign as an 80mph limit. Well today it interpreted a sign indicating the start of a 30 limit and end of a 20 limit as the end of a 30 limit!! Also today I drove over a motorway on a bridge and it soemhow spotted a blue motoway sign below and displayed that.
Hopefully the technology will improve.

It's not new technology, I had it two pervious cars and it worked far better than the CH-R version. But hey it's a system that is brought in by Toyota and who ever supplies it needs to up their game.
