My dealer Is going to un-install my Blackvue DR650S 1 CH from my Auris and fit it in the new C-HR, has anyone else already done this as i am not sure of the best place to position it. I don't want to position its under the all seeing safety until in the middle of the wind screen, which would be ideal but in the manual it warns against it?

regards

I can understand why fitting it next to the windscreen safety sensor could be a problem as that Dashcam has a wifi transmitter to connect to the cloud built into it. Mind you if you don't use that feature I believe you can turn it off.

I'm putting mine where the tax disc used to go- near the bottom left of windscreen. I have also decided not to do a hardwire but run the cable from the 12v under the front passenger seat and up beside the door, using Velcro to fix it. I have a 12v adaptor that I'll leave in the storage box so that I can also run the cable from my Garmin satnav- which sits on the dash a bit to the right of centre of the windscreen. I deliberately chose the CHR without the Satnav option (Icon) as I like my Garmin and didn't feel the need for the capital outlay and ongoing costs of updates for something I'd only need on an occasional basis.
Ive put a dual camera thing with large suction mount right next to the interior mirror on the left. Dont think its interfered with anything
Thanks. They have fitted now on the left next to the safety sensors, so far, it gives a good all round view

Haven't got a dashcam..So wouldn't know where to stick it...
And didn't get the "navigation" either not gonna pay an extra almost €800 for something like that. Not saying it isn't worth it but I used to use TomTom on my IPhone for navigation and got me everywhere I wanten to go and even when on foot...
Recently got the SYGIC NAV APP WITH FREE LIFETIME MAP UPDATE and traffic warming .
Even has a dashcam function in it and headup display....
And guess this app will go on a Samsung phone + a few GB of music an extra simcard ,connect it with the mirrorlink app and
Off we go...🌏
