Hi to everyone. I'm still waiting for my new CHR Advance Plus since I ordered it on November 2016,but I have to wait until March 2017 to receive it, according last contact with car dealer here in Valencia (Spain). Last week I ordered interior LED lights for CHR from http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/share-style/item/ss-led-roomser-chr/ directly from Japan, thanks to the link given by Karmalakas. I hope I'll have the interior lights before my CHR :-(
Good luck with your new cars.
Just a small point that I came across the other other day. If you change your lights then, certainly in the UK, it will affect your insurance - especially if you do not tell the insurance company.
I believe you'd even void your warranty
Hi, David63
Are you sure that changing interior lights (ceiling interior lights) could affect insurance? I really think it can´t cause any problem to car security. It's only interior bulbs change. We are not talking about headlights or something that could interfere with car electronics. it's just a simple bulb.
If insurance company could say that I should say they are really mad.
What do you think?
My take would be that it is a modification. Bottom line if you tell them and they say it is OK then all well and good.

You know what insurance companies are like - any excuse not to pay out and I would not want to risk £20k -£30k
Thanks for your answer. I'll keep that in mind before to change those bulbs.
Am a little confused that they would be illegal TBH, my logic as follows:

Accidents usually occur when a car is being driven & interior lights are not on = it can have no bearing on the vehicle safety
Vehicle break-ins happen when the interior lights aren't on = it can have no bearing on security
Vehicle theft won't increase because you have LED internal lights since they won't be on at the point of intrusion.

Exterior lighting however is a different matter, however I cannot imagine for one moment even if an accident involved a loss of life that any vehicle inspector would take your interior bulbs out to check them...some cars actually do have them fitted as standard.
but if there was a fire and they spot the electrics have been altered? (whether the lights are on or off, and whether the alterations cause the fire or not). You could lay money on them not paying outbthen.
Alex
Then you'd best not step outside your front door in case anything bad happens?

Yep car fires do happen but I've never seen one attributed to a faulty LED bulb
No I did not say the bulb would cause the fire. If the insurance co detect that the wiring has been amended then they COULD refuse to payout regardless of what caused the fure.
Alex
OK, hybrids have been known to catch alight in the engine bay, you reckon an inspector would be looking for a faulty LED in the cabin....and even know that they are not fitted as standard?
Sorry - I reiterate it has nothing to do with faulty LEDs - it is to do with alterations to the electrics.
Alex
The led kit I have seen is plug and play so no alterations to wiring

Hi, Batman
Yes, I received my new C-HR a couple weeks ago (delayed 3 weeks by strikes in Sagunto port ). Yesterday I changed interior LED lights and plate lights and trunk lights. Perfect result. So easy to change, except the front ceiling light, because japanese C-HR is slightly different from european model, but with some modifications in LED panel all has been solved.
The worst is the money I've paid to customs, because here in Spain we must pay twice the price of items that are bought from outside UE ( I call them just THIEVES)
The most I like are the ceiling lights because they are LED panels with exactly the shape of the ceiling lights (front ceiling light has a "U"shape and the rear one has a big squared shape).
Now interior looks better in the night than with original yellow poor bulbs.
Have you received your new car?
