I now have a brand new Samsung phone A13 to replace my old iPhone 7 which needed repair I did used to like Apple car play with texts coming up etc will my Samsung android work in my CHR do I have to buy new cable etc ? Thankyou for your help

It should work perfectly fine via Android Auto.

You will need to use a decent quality USB cable & plug the phone in to the car.

You can go in to the Android Auto set up & settings to change what apps are shown plus how certain apps respond with messaging etc.

Yes, you'll need a new cable. Apple is using thunderbolt and that's not something you'll find on any other phone.
But a USB-A to USB-C cable is a couple of money, so not a big deal.
And there's very little difference in features between Android Auto and Apple Car.
