Does everyone on the forum that own a C-hr , have they made the right choice ....mainly because of the cracked windscreen issues . These quality problems seem bad for such a quality minded manufacturer . These problems should have been sorted pre-production.

I feel exactly the same as ans, I am 100% happy with my choice, and touch wood my screen is still intact. It would be interesting to know the percentage of screens affected.

I think Ans possibly meant 'no doubt'?

I had to read that a few times, but still easier to follow than a Herman post!

I made a wrong choice by reading this topic :( The title of it is completely uninformative and I'm really mad at people who wastes other's time
Agreed, John didn't even say which C-HR he has, so suspect he hasn't?

Henceforth we shall call such post 'Hermanisims' :x

Right choice for me too.

Had the car since March and the windscreen cracked at the weekend - no big deal, it will get fixed.

With any totally new model there are likely to be "teething" problems and they could be a lot worse than a crack on the windscreen. If you are not prepared to have teething problems then don't buy a new model - it is as simple as that.

This question is really hard for me because I sooooooo want to love this car! It has been in twice for new windscreens, the leather seats are probably the most uncomfortable I've sat on and last night I discovered that the interior lights have stopped working. My previous £25,000 car gave me no problems at all so 30k for grief this early on doesn't fill me with optimism for the future. But....... every time I decide to give it back and go along the 'not fit for purpose'. Route somebody comes up to me saying how lovely the car looks!!! Can't win! lol

It is not so simpel as that way must I been prepared to have teething problems.
It started as a incedent (small) and is groing bigger and bigger.
Till now there is not a real solution from toyota (even a view have there second screen)

I remember a view total new models and no theething problems
at all.

Ford Fiesta
VW Polo
Honda Jazz
Renault Megane
Citroen C1
Fiat 500

Even if I mine had a cracked screen I would't want to change the car.

He doesn't have one. He talks about maybe getting on in other topics.

Moderators.. can you change post titles?

But you have to remember that cars are getting technically more complex so there will always be the possibility of "teething" problems.

Apart from the cracked windscreen what other significant problems are you aware of?

To me it is a minor annoyance but I perceive that some are making mountains out of molehills over this.

It is a small crack in the corner of the windscreen. It does not affect your driving of the car. Toyota are aware of it and are fixing it. Where's the problem?

Just get over it and get on with life - there are many more serious issues going on than a cracked windscreen!

Interestingly the part leather seats in my Excel are the MOST comfortable I have ever sat in. :)

Fabric for me as couldn't justify the uplift. And they are COMFORTABLE.
Yes. As per various other strings. My screen went and has been fine since. And we LOVE LOVE LOVE the car. It's new. I agree, teething troubs.

I think a lot of the problems across the forum can actually track back to the relationship with the dealer and the proactivity/reactive responces. For me as said prev. All good.

There's not another car out there that comes close in my opinion

Hi all,
In relation to the seat issues, it's probably more to do with what you've been used too. I'm coming out of a Citroen Picasso Lounge which had 4 armchairs which really were armchairs! and an XJS prior to that. I also drive a fire engine and even that's more comfortable! lol on the plus side, I'll never fall asleep at the wheel! :)

I have no issues with the leather seats, had leather in previous cars Audi A4, Lexus Ct 200H faux Bamboo leather! (very green they told me) Honda Accord. Perhaps its my well padded bum but they are all good and not one better than the other.
The windscreen issue to me is exactly as David63 stated a minor issue.
I love this car its looks still give me a buzz
