MY SYSTEM IS NOT IN ANY OF THE MANUALS ( I HAVE LOOKED )I HAVE BEEN TO MY TOYOTA DEALER AND THEY CAN'T FIND IT. PHIL

IF im not mistaken, you can go to Toyota website according to your country, register, and with your VIN you can download your official manual.

been to website down loaded all , but as have said to toyota dealer , my system is not on it, I think it is the ICON -- has anybody else got a ICON.when you look at the pictures on the web download not one of the systems look the same as mine. mine seems to have less buttos than the rest. phil

Stop shouting and what spec stereo do you have? Touch 2 or touch 2 with go. You may have to update the firmware with a map update as it contains some fixes for several bugs including the one that you mentioned. There are several post on this already

i have touch 2- my dealer said mine was first icon he had seen , so i was wondering if anybody else had one--- on page 37 of the on line manual it shows the screen mine has not got the button --- 3 " play more like this setting " maybe it's a basic system thats just fitted to the icon---- not one of the pictures has a screen that looks like mine phil

• File formats: FAT12/16/32 (Windows)

MP3 and WMA files written in any format other than those listed above may
not play correctly, and their file names and folder names may not be displayed

Items related to standards and limitations are as follows:
• Maximum directory hierarchy: 8 levels
• Maximum number of folders in a device: 999 (including the root)
• Maximum number of files in a device: 9999
• Maximum number of files per folder: 255
●MP3 and WMA files
MP3 (MPEG Audio LAYER3) is a standard audio compression format.
Files can be compressed to approximately 1/10 of their original size by
using MP3 compression.
WMA (Windows Media Audio) is a Microsoft audio compression format.
This format compresses audio data to a size smaller than that of the MP3
format.
There is a limit to the MP3 and WMA file standards and to the media/formats
recorded by them that can be used.

MP3 (MPEG1 LAYER3, MPEG2 LSF LAYER3)
• Compatible sampling frequencies
MPEG1 LAYER3: 32, 44.1, 48 (kHz)
MPEG2 LSF LAYER3: 16, 22.05, 24 (kHz)
• Compatible bit rates (compatible with VBR)
MPEG1 LAYER3: 32-320 (kbps)
MPEG2 LSF LAYER3: 8-160 (kbps)
• Compatible channel modes: stereo, joint stereo, dual channel and monaural

will try to take photo or video of screen , in next few days---- have downloaded all the info from toyota , my screen is not the same as in manual ---- still like to hear anybody else with a icon , or am i the only one------?.

I have Icon. I have no satnav- just the FM/DABradio/USB stick etc bit. I have never had need of a separate manual as I have just experimented and got what I want to work to just work. I run music off various USB sticks and had no problems; I also download podcasts to listen to....but tend to stick with the radio.

You have an answer above. But it does all still depend. For a definitive answer (though ans has covered most bases!) you'll just have to learn from experience.
