Does anyone know if there is an interior boot release catch please? I can't find anything in the manual.

No there is no boot release catch.
You can only open and close the boot from outside.
Just curious, why would you want/need it?

You can always open the booth.
And with the little button next to it close all doors and booth.

Try doing that, when electronics fail :)
I think there was an option to open the boot by double tapping on the unlock keyfob button. But it might be only activated at the dealer (with Techstream). Just like window open/close with long press which I activated.

I asked my dealer for this and told me that I have to purchase 4 extra modules (4 X 60 euro) one per door to activate window open/close.
It's not software depended only.

I believe your dealer is lying :) It's even in the manual, that it can be activated and it's not some package feature.
Lies, tell them to RTFM:

I asked about the boot release as there is a video online showing you could open the boot with your key fob also it was in the chr brochure I showed it to dealer and all the brochures were withdrawn from sale

Yes there is. Page fifty in the physical handbook. Just got my car so looked it up. Small removable cover over the lock inside the boot. Remove and loosen screw over swing arm then move the arm to release the boot. Reverse to re lock.

Sorry I was late to reply.
That is only when the back door opener is inoperative. I think he means something else. A handle to release or button wich open the boot.
Hi there it says on Toyota CH-R hybrid website specs that there's BOOT DOOR RELEASE WITH BUTTON But in January 2019 [ english version] Toyota CH-R book under exterior comfort BOOT DOOR RELEASE WITH PUSH BUTTON  I am still waiting for my hybrid ch-r .

Not sure I understand your point. Manual p157 explains there are two buttons over the number plate. One opens the rear door, the other locks it (if you have car with smart entry)
I got hybrid version C-HR and one time i have to open boot manually from inside.
It's like MerlyWerly said there's Small removable cover over the lock inside the boot. Remove and loosen screw over swing arm then move the arm to release the boot. Reverse to re lock.
