Hi everyone.
Has anyone had issues with the black roof on the Dynamic model of the C-HR?
As you can see I’ve got this mark appear inline with the interior lights. I’ve put my hand on the roof hoping to feel some heat there, but nothing after 20 seconds and tbh how often do we have the door open for long periods.
I’ve tried polishing the mark out, it did calm it down, but didn’t remove it.
Is the roof vinyl?
Any ideas on it would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like acid burn from bird guano...

Was it dropped on at any point?

Not that I know of. I thought it was egg tbh. When it’s wet you can’t see it. When it’s dry and the sims out you can’t miss it.

I'd consult an automotive paint expert to see what the next step forward with it would be.

IIRC the black bi tone roof is painted over the top of the base vehicle colour.

Machine polish with a mild compound should take that out.

That’s what I’m thinking of doing, I just didn’t know if the roof is painted or a gloss vinyl type wrap

There's a chap Ven has had similar problem in here, I don't think the roof is wrapped.
But the mark is very straight to me, the rear spoiler on ours has a similar mark and I'm 100% certain what's caused it heavy snow then turned to ice lazy me didn't take it off drove a little way and it melted slightly and slid off passenger side right wear it's left a mark. I've said in here before ice does scratch the cars paint and a detail chap I kno says the same.
But on TV last week I nearly passed out, watching folks cleaning snow off the cars with the (snow shovel) Holy mother of Mary. It was a 72plate.

I wasn’t looking at the straight line, but the multiple white smudges

My bad eyes...
