Just wondering if anyone is using a bike rack with your C-HR? There's no decent guidance online.

Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Thanks. I wasn't being lazy, I did see that on the Toyota site but I had a chat with them today about it and they had no idea what it'll look like, and it's not actually available yet anyway! Unless my Toyota garage are lying to me.

Thought it best to chat to someone who factually was using a rack on their c-hr! 😊

I always fit my bikes inside the car can't be bothered with extra wind noise. See photos here:

I ordered my C-HR with a detachable tow-ball as I already had a Atera Strada DL bike rack which I normally use on my Camper van. Without the tow ball in place you hardly notice anything at the rear and it is quick to fit.
It's a fairly expensive option but works well.

I should maybe correct my statement as after some research apparently there is not a bike rack suitable for the CHR. I've been hanging mine off the spoiler. Depends how much trust you put in the strength of the spoiler!

I ordered a toyota bike rack when ordered the car. When it came the garage wanted £600 to fit a towbar as that is what it fixes onto, after alot of phone calls involving head office they eventually agreed to supply and fit one free of charge as there was nowhere it tells you you need a tow bar with their bike rack

You are a very lucky. I think that it is common sense that you need a towbar for a bike rack.

I dont think its common sense. They should make it clear

Hi,
I know this is an old post, but I bought my CH-R back in June and wondered if you can send an image on how you use the Saris Bones 3 bike rack on the CH-R?

I'm trying to find the most economical way to carry 3 bicycles but it all throws me back to Towbar racks and my Toyota dealer is quoting £735 for the towbar and £335 for the rack... I have other quotes for the towbar at £445 but I don't want to end with extra weight all the time from the tow bar fixing bar (and not sure how it'll look like!).

Sent an enquiry to Saris in the US but received a negative on the compatibility of the SarisBones3 and I don't want to buy one just to find it not compatible.

Don't use the hooks on the straps but use these Saris Hatch Huggers.
