Hi All, I got my C-HR today and can't figure out if I can set the doors to lock automatically once in the car and pulling away. Is this an option? I like driving with my doors locked but won't keep remembering to lock them manually. Thanks in advance. Helen

Sadly with all it has on this car this isn't an option. It's one I miss a lot.

But I still love it.
What is the advantage of such a system?

I always put my handbag in the passenger well. If I have a passenger it goes on the floor in the back, but I'm trying to get into the habit of manually locking all the doors. I agree it's a feature that is sadly missing

I think for me its just the fact that various cars I have had over recent years have had this as a standard feature so if you drive over 5 mile an hour it automatically locks so I am surprised a car with all the gadgets the CHR has it doesn't come with this as standard.

It's a feature I've got used to and liked but now I have to remember to lock the doors myself.

I may never need it as a safety feature, but I may never need some of the others either. It's just nice to know they're there if needed.

Now I'm not sure of the truth of this but I was told by a dealer that this feature is now illegal in EU countries for safety reasons and no new cars will have it.

My previous car a 2017 BMW M140i had it and I liked it.

However, In that car I thought it was needed as it was a car that was stolen often by any means! Lots of nasty stories on the forums about this. Another reason I sold it.

Dont feel so vulnerable in the C-HR to be honest. And the doors are easily locked by the illuminated switch on the door.

While looking at stuff after my tire had issues I came across this on Aliexpress

It says you can set it to have the doors autolocking. But I can't work out exactly how it does it, whether it's a you can have autodoors locking OR Tire pressure monitoring or both, or all the options. Has anyone bought one like this? Is it plugged into the

I had autodoor locking in my 16 yo Renault. All the cars I've hired in that time while on hols seem to have had it from memory. I do miss it, but then I probably drive through some not so great areas at times.

Isn't one of the issues with using the manual door lock in the C-HR that all the passengers have to wait for the drive to unlock before they can get out? Whereas with the autodoor feature I has, as soon as the car was stopped, all doors opened from the inside, but not the outside?
