I have my iPhone connected via Bluetooth to the car stereo. Everything works perfectly. I can even stream music via Apple Music and skip through songs.

There is a issue I don't seem to understand. Sometimes the songs displayed on the screen have the album artwork and sometimes they don't. At first I thought it had something to do with having the songs downloaded on my iPhone and others not, but this isn't the case. This applies to songs downloaded on my phone and streamed from Apple Music. There is a inconsistency I cannot figure out. Sometimes it shows album artwork and sometimes it doesn't.

Has anyone figured out the reason for showing or not showing the album artwork?

That would be correct if it wasn't for the fact that I am using Spotify and all tracks have full album art. I have the same issue however and only the odd one or two are shown.

I think all meta data is saved in the beginning of file (first bytes have all the info), so as soon as you start streaming, player already gets all the info. Spotify probably streams full file (maybe in chunks). I might be wrong, but that's how it should work.

I haven't tested it yet. But as far as I can see the images are not shown if the resolution of the image is too high.
Some albums show them others not. On my PC they all show. I have used the same tool to add the tags.

My head unit is a little different to yours but I have been this path a few times before - I use the Free and excellent Program mp3Tag to tag all
even though they may already be tagged there are different compliant tags and you can see at a glance some will be tagged with older versions- re-tagging with mp3tag will tag in all formats - I also keep my artwork to 225x225 - don't believe this has any bearing though

I'm using Spotify via bluetooth and have also noticed this. To me it seems like most older/"classic" songs show album art but newer songs don't. Maybe this is due to picture resolution? Newer album art is in higher res?

Hello from me too.

I have the same problem regarding song artwork and I'm not sure you are correct with all the above replies. I'm saying that because one day I could see the artwork of the songs I was playing via my iPhone and the next day i couldn't. Same songs same phone. I don't understand what happened and I don't see them anymore. Can someone help?

Thanks

If that isn't a bluetooth issue (which I believe it isn't) how can give a solution? I mean I searched everywhere just in case I unticked an option or something like that but no luck. How can it be that it's showing artwork once and then not anymore..? From my phone I could see all artwork and now I can't see anything anymore. Weird..
