Has anybody installed an after market Blind Spot Detection system?
I purchased my C-HR Design and find the blind spot visibility terrible. I have seen a few systems available but wondered if anybody has experience if suitability and installation.

Have you had the vehicle from new?

The Toyota BSM system is pretty decent at detecting vehicles.

The system does require specialist calibrating - has the vehicle suffered any impacts / damage to the rear?

C-HR side mirrors a pretty big and if you adjust them correctly, no more blind spot.
Plenty of images on the internet how to adjust mirrors properly, but this video explains it perfectly (start at 0:23)

Unless you really want a warning light to blink, then adjusting mirrors won't help
I don't recall in 20 years of driving I ever needed a BSM and in 4,5 years of C-HR driving I always saw a car on the side even before BSM light starts blinking

IMO it's a nice-to-have gimmick not worth the money
