Can just beat that, left mine garaged and NO charger for 8 weeks and started first time. Excellent car
C-HR Excel 5dr 1.8CVT Hybrid,
Anyone any views on using a trickle charger when leaving a car for 8 weeks? Always used one on my previous car but that was not a hybrid.

my 1994 supra starts after months of sitting doing nothing dont think 6 weeks on a new car is exceptional
The Supra has a normal starter which allows you to jump start the car by pushing the car in a downhill road or with jumper cables using another 12V battery. The C-HR hybrid has no normal starter so you don't have these two options.

For the C-HR hybrid you can use starting cables with another 12 V battery - look to guide

My Toyota mechanic told me the starter of a Hybrid gets power from the EV battery. The 12v battery is only used for electronics.

Have to disagree with you ronttuk.
Have owned and loved two Supras 1993 and 1996,both would be as flat as a pancake after 3 weeks.
Really impressed that after 6 weeks outside in all weathers the CHR fires up first time!

But if the 12 volt battery is flat you can,t start the CHR. A couple off weeks ago I left the light on and after approx 5 houres it was impossible to start. Called out Toyota and after an jumpstart and half houre drive everythings was fine again.

I left the light on
Just curious :) How did you manage that? Doesn't all the lights go out after locking the car? Unless you left the doors open
pag 244
The Headlight switch was on (2). After parking, while I left the car talking to my partner I closed the door and not noticed the Light reminder buzzer that
the light was still on.

After approx 5 hours my host noticed that the led light (daylight) was still on. I tried to start the interior light started flashing and everything was dead.

The reason that the switch was on because of some dark weather on the journey and I wanted my rear lights on so the back-traffic noticed me.

Oh, I see. I've never had to use head lights switch (auto works fine) :) Only high beams
Auto works fine for me to but sometimes you want the traffic behind you to now that you are there (havy rain etc). The light then is still in auto mode only daytime running light (not rearlight).

I've adjusted the sensitivity when low beams turn on, so if it's raining, almost always it turns on. It doesn't only if it's really bright, like rain comes only from a few clouds , but we still have some sun :)
