Called in Toyota multimedia team today and they have given me instruction on how to do it. Apparently, the C-HR I have comes with free 3-year MAP care and services and I guess all of you as well have the same offer from Toyota. I will have a go and I hope I don't mess it up. What worse could happen? Thanks!

go to your MyToyota account
to go the estore
you'll see a list but select Map Update 6.10.0H
£109.00

add to the basket
Checkout once checked out make sure it makes the value £0 and then you will be able to download, extract to USB, turn car on once screen has loaded plug in your usb and then it will start update.

Can I bear to spend another 4 hours of my life updating my maps??

Don't forget you can edit activationCode.xml with a text editor and insert your code, so you don't have to manually do it while in the update process.
Just replace 1111-2222-3333-4444 with your code.

<?xml version= "1.0" ?><ACTIVATIONCODES>[/i][/b]"/></ACTIVATIONCODES>

Any improvements to the software itself?
I have it ready but I have to find the patience doing it.

I live In a new build development that was started four years ago. I was hoping the new maps would show my road but alas even though it has been here for four years the new map still doesn't identify my road!!!

We have the same problem with my husbands Merc. He made a lot of fuss and they gave him a new card last month (you can only update it once within 60days of purchase) and it still doesn't show a local changed speed limit. A complaint to Garmin referred me back to MB. I've concluded the contract between the map providers and Vehicle manufacturers dont guarantee the most up to date info. Ironically my little £200 portable Garmin is totally up to date. So I don't expect much from Toyota/TomTom particularly as currently the same speed limit change doesn't show and I'd be surprised if it's any different on the update. It's two years since the speed limit was reduced from 40 to 30 and now there is often a mobile speed van hanging around.

It's all a bit of a con.

C-HRians,

MAP update currently downloading. I got it figured out with a bit of difficulty, but I got there. Last step is to update the MAP in the car after the download/extract. Version 6.10.0H it is!

Surely you just ask your dealer to do it for you when it has its annual service...if your time is that valuable?
