Average is 67.3mpg overall

Anyone report anything higher/better? :?:

Albeit it was a brimmed tank as squeezed in another 7l from a jerrycan after fill-up

Done it for the 35yrs I've been driving and have never had a problem, albeit always before a long (100 mile+) trip so it will lower quite quickly.

So, apart from the small distraction, what's the highest mileage anyone's had from a single tank?

I should point out that my fuel empty light did not come on :)

Today I filled the tank after 910km (565 miles). It swallowed 34.4ltr (7.56 gallons imp) or average consumption reached 74.75 MPG for a full tank. This happened after my first service when the engine oil was changed with 0w20.
Best result before that was 65MPG and worst 39.6 @ 93+mph on the motorway. High-speed kills the MPG and below you can clearly see my "races with time":

Thanks Karmalakas I missed this thread......

Wow, I managed 687km on 32 litres (I filled up just after the light came on) so my calculations get me to 751 km on 35 litres. Seems I still have to squeeze another 58km to beat the record.

Sorry shayed but I have to dismiss your claim on the fact that here in France anything less than the minimum speed limit will see your rear bumper destroyed by the end of the first street. I can't imagine anyone getting anywhere near that figure without doing a non stop journey in warm weather, no up hills and driving like miss Daisy's grandma. I'm not saying it can't be done but to have an 'average' of 3.8 litres per 100km over a full tank on multiple journeys when the warm up process alone is over 15 litres per 100 km seems so far away from what the rest of us are getting (multiple journeys over a 2 week period in my case) it just doesn't seem possible. I've seen people on YouTube getting 3.8 by driving around town in traffic and using EV mode as often as possible for a 40 minute drive but he only covered about 30km. What's your secret?
