Does anyone know why the recuperation of energy is measured in blocks of 30 Wh?

I'm thinking it should be an equivalent of X liters of fuel.

I did a small calculations 1l of petrol= 8,9 Kwh => so each block would save you 3 ml of petrol. 333 regens is 1l of fuel.
