On Monday we parked next to an 2018 model in what I'm guessing was Decuma grey and it was a flat dull surface and lo...

Re: Faulty Front Parking sensor!!

Inchcape is the brand of my Toyota dealer. They have a system that Toyota logs all issues. This is a known issue with a known resolution! I'm not sure if this is a Toyota wide system or just Inchcape. My dealer phoned me to tell me about the resolution, then took it upon themselves to get a new numb...

Re: Faulty Front Parking sensor!!

And here are some after pics to show you the different number plate (with no black tab) and the different position (higher). In real life, it does not look too high up.

Re: Faulty Front Parking sensor!!

Thanks for the reminder Duncan!

Here is the before pic. Notice the white part of the number plate goes below the holder by about an inch, and there is an additional black tab on the bottom of the number plate (which holds some white text and the Toyota logo).

Re: Whistle noise from wing mirror

The padding is so minor that it makes no difference to the movement of the mirror. All good.

Re: Faulty Front Parking sensor!!

Just to update you from my point of view - once the dealer moved the number plate up a touch, and replaced it with a normal one (not one with a little extra plastic under) my problem has not returned.

It's heaven to drive this car now with no issues!!!

Re: Whistle noise from wing mirror

Sure, it's where I'm pointing here. It was the smallest of gaps between the mirror and the arm - but with a little padding now in there, no more noise.
