Re: New to this forum

Cheers Walt, came back from the garage along a dual carriageway, only the odd car in front so no need to indicate. As you say, only really good for motorway use. Bit like cruise control I suppose. When riding in America, if we had to use an Interstate we noticed bunches of flowers at points along t...

Re: Does winter fuel affect mpg

To my knowledge there is no such thing as winter fuel. It sounds like you are taking mpg from the readout in the car and that will always be out, especially if you talking about 1 days travel. Only trust the measured mpg (from tank full to tank full). Having said that, I find that mpg does drop over...

Re: Sat nav

If you have the map on the screen then does it have blue line and triangle on it?
If no map on the screen you may need to press the navigation button to show it. (button with triangle 2nd up on RHS)

Re: Sat nav

Not fully. You put in where you want to go and it guides you (from whereever you are) to get there. Once you arrive it will disengage and then just show where you are currently traveling at that moment, in much the same way as when it was guiding you but with no guidance or route to follow. So is it...

Re: CHR on motorway

90-100 km/h gets me to ~5l/100km (talking about real consumption here - not what C-HR lies on display) I calculate that to be about 56.5 mpg in UK gallons. I think I get a little more than that from motorway driving, but hard to be precise as depends if up hill or down, warm or cold. I get 56mpg ov...

Re: CHR on motorway

I adore the looks of the CHR and I’m going to order a 1.8 hybrid in metal stream I do most weeks 100 miles one day a week on the flat motorway here in the U.K. what speed am I best to keep it at to get best mpg ? Would 70 mpg get 60 mpg ? You will get better mpg at slower speeds on the motorway but...

I thought the camera in screen was for Roadsign recognition and auto headlamp beam assist? Radar behind grille is for cruise?
Might be a coincidence in my case.

Re: Radar warning light

Yes I have had that in heavy rain, but I think was the camera by the rear view mirror that was getting blocked. (Wet leaf stuck there).

Re: Chr 2018 alternator

As far as I know the CHR does not have an alternator. The battery is charged from the “big” battery via what is effectively a transformer. (assuming you have a hybrid)
Why do you ask?
