Dont think it makes much difference at a steady motorway speed. But for mpg the mode to use is eco at any time.

Re: Advice
Hi all, I am looking to buy a used 1.8 chr probably the excel or dynamic, but have a few of questions I would like to ask if anyone can help: What sort of average mpg has anyone got on motorway driving? Aware this will be less than city driving average etc. I have heard the 2017 model has issues? D...

Re: What are "battery service hole cover" and "service plug grip"?
That is about removing the HV battery, not the 12v battery. You do not want to do that. When the AA replaced my battery they added a power source to the cigarette lighter ( although I dont think that helped with ignition off), and then just removed the 12v batter in normal way (loosen clamps and two...

Re: Will be a chr owner Monday I hope.
Hill starts are not an issue. The car has auto hill start technology so it wont roll back. You simply move your foot from brake to accelerator and drive off as normal. No handbrake involved. You will find the handbrake a doddle too. Although there is a setting to make it manual, in auto mode it come...

Re: Best colour in U.K. ?
It’s all a matter of personal preference. I always vowed that I would not ever buy a silver car (boring), but when I came to get my CHR 4 yrs ago the only colour I could get with zero road tax was metal stream, and my wife convinced me to go for it. I will say I have been happy with it (the car and ...

Re: Will be a chr owner Monday I hope.
Ok here’s a quick overview ( for the newbie). Startup is not complicated, just a little different. 1. Get in, adjusting seat, mirror, steering wheel as nec, and fasten seatbelt. Keeping key in pocket/bag. 2. Put foot on brake pedal 3. Press start 4. Wait a few secs until it beeps. (I usually put sea...

Re: Will be a chr owner Monday I hope.
Hope you enjoy it - lucky you. Make sure you get the car explained to you as it is not “just” an automatic, but a hybrid so there are one or two little differences that confuse if you are not aware ( eg startup sequence, need foot on brake to engage drive, when stopping engage P before stopping igni...

Re: New rules?
Sounds like dealer got screwed op with the rules ;) I am no fan of stealerships, but to be fair it was not the dealer, he was being told by Toyota that the car availability had moved from Jan 7 to end Feb. He was just trying to explain why. Anyway all’s well....now I can get a car in Jan, even with...
