I just press the demist button (from a position of being in auto with ac on) and it turns the fan on full belt with ac and directs onto windscreen (with hot air if there is any from a warm engine). On level ground mine opens fully (unless it is really bitterly cold).
It is possible to get it to balance half way if I try but above that it springs fully open.
I think one of your struts might be playing up.

Been onto Toyota and they tell me that they are aware that customers are not happy that the radio doesn't mute when directions are given on satnav and that they are working on it but it will take about 18 months to sort. I have stuck with Toyota. I looked around and there were cheaper, especially if I chose not to have some of the features (like homestart) but decided the Toyota one was decent value.

Are you sure its not the tyres? Often new tyres whirr a bit on smooth roads.

I must admit I am struggling to see the changes in styling.
Improved head unit looks good, but I was hoping for more clear info about the improved battery.
Plug in hybrid would be nice - maybe later.

I have done nearly 26000 on mine (no rotation) and there is still a reasonable amount of tread. I expect it to do 30000 before I replace the fronts.
