Re: New hybrid owner

That's it then just as I always thought, the husband thinks about changing the car and the wife actually has to endorse it AND the colour!! Still on the subject, I was told by a car salesman that he had a middle-aged couple choosing a car, everything went perfectly well on choice of vehicle u...

Re: MPG - for those of you who have the Hybrid

Don't know about you but since refuelling on Friday, and coming away from the petrol station, noticed that the engine was running and kept running for a good 3-4 minutes even though the temperature gauge was nearly at normal and I had 3 bars of hybrid power, then it dawned on me, the weather was col...

Re: Thanks, and recommendation about insurance

Hi abeligua, try these threads first: https://www.chrforums.uk/viewforum.php?f=15 One insurance company can very from another regarding premiums, can be a bit confusing which one to go for but for starters if you are over 50 years of age then Saga are offering 3 year fixed price insurance. Auto Expr...

Re: “Maintenance Required For Hybrid Battery Cooling Parts At Your Dealer”

That shouldn't happen with the screw, it's a "do it yourself" thing as it says in the manual, screw comes out by turning anti-clockwise.. I did for about 50 turns or thereabouts then gave up and just vacuumed from the grills though would have preferred to take it out and do it properly. Will give i...

Re: “Maintenance Required For Hybrid Battery Cooling Parts At Your Dealer”

Having read this thread I also vacuumed my air intake, though I tried to remove it but the screw kept turning and turning but would not come away. Did not want to force it open so does any-one have a solution apart from taking it down to the dealership which I honestly don't want to as they will pro...

Re: Sat Nav speed warning.

If the voice does come on, and it doesn't always happen, I am doing 10 mph over the limit. I did not know there was a voice, I just gets beeps if over. I always set mine to what the speedo reading is i.e. 30mph limit then I set it at 30 even though I have a separate gps on my car cam which actually...

Re: MPG - for those of you who have the Hybrid

Hi Nigel,

Everytime I buy petrol I enter mileage, cost in pounds, and amount in litres. In the settings (opening page - 3 dots at the top r/h) you can specify units in UK mpg and currency in pounds. It then calculates everything automatically...
Thanks kelvin, that's a great help.

Re: MPG - for those of you who have the Hybrid

Hi Kelvin, just downloaded the app Fillup, did you enter the fuel in litres or converted them before entering them as gallons? As looking at your log you are getting imperial along with metric data. Sorry for sounding a bit dense but just wondering, read the help sheet on the app so when I first ref...

Re: Updated CHR announced

Just had a look at their website regarding fuel consumption for the 2 litre hybrid and it is interesting to note that they have re-evaluated the mpg from 74mpg to these: New Toyota C-HR Emissions* 1.8L VVT-i Auto Hybrid has a combined Co2 of 86 g/km and a fuel economy from 54.32 to 58.85 MPG 2.0L VV...
