Re: No connectivity button on my Toyota Touch system

We must all agree in some basics. The ideal would be to use the big screen of the car for all our needs concerning the car. There is no doubt about that. But to do it the system has to be responsive enough and direct-fast so that it doesn’t abstract you from driving. Unfortunately that’s not the cas...

Re: No connectivity button on my Toyota Touch system

Look i didnt mean it is bad only for Greece or Finland, Lithuania etc. My Navi speaks greek, and is generally ok when you have a route on but... the real pain is when you have to type an address, when you have to redirect your route, cancel a route, zoom in or out etc... if you plan a route and stic...

Re: No connectivity button on my Toyota Touch system

I have the navigation (I got it as a “gift” from Toyota) but if I were you I would save my money for something else ... a good phone with Google Maps, Waze etc and a nice phone holder will solve your problem in a better and cheaper way ... I used the Navi a lot at the beginning and I can tell you fo...

Re: New owner - some questions...

The hold button is for heavy traffic... you can move your foot off the break for as long as you like...it keeps holding the brake automatically... the hill assist is standard on all new cars and I bet on yours too and its for the situation when you have to start from a brake on a hill... it helps th...

Re: New owner - some questions...

Yes that’s default on the 1.2 and on every new car I know... It activates when braking (the car is still) uphill ...not in every brake... the hold button lets you remove the foot from the brake and rest when in heavy traffic

Re: No audio alerts when reversing?

:-) Pretty good. I’ve already mentioned the fuel consumption thing that somehow bothers me (~9lt/100km) but apart from that I still enjoy my rides and I am looking forward to get in the car every time. How about you?

Re: No audio alerts when reversing?

Giannis-CHR there are no audio alerts in our edition... Alerts-beeps come on higher spec versions of the car and include an all around the vehicle beeping system ... not just reverse

Re: Any suggestions for phone dock?

I just purchased a similar one and it seems fine. The only disadvantage is that the steering wheel hides a small part of the bottom of the phone screen. But it does the work fine! Thanks!
You could fix the steering wheel position slightly down if that’s not a problem for you

Re: Any suggestions for phone dock?

I think you should go for it. It's not something you should put money on. I got it from amazon but it came from china too... check https://www.amazon.fr/Reusious-Dashboard-sécurisée-Smartphones-téléphone/dp/B075C3ZYW2/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1546811512&sr=8-8&keywords=Car+holder. It seems to be ident...

Re: Service interval menu

I know why all cars have a service reminder (not just turbo). My old car had one too and it was not turbo. I just don't know why Toyota didn't include it on hybrids too. I guess it's just one of the little things they missed (like the date and so on) with no particular reason. Nevermind. The CHRs ar...
