Re: How to get a wire inside center console

I always use the 12v socket for such extras as it is already fused, switched and "accessory" controlled, and the cable is very easily removable. I lead the wire down the A pillar behind the rubber door seal then underneath the plastic door sill, the wire is easily tucked under it, until it reaches t...

Re: Showroom shine

I agree with Ch-R Blue about Showroom Shine, or Williams Waterless Wax or something like that that Ideal World now sell it as. Have used it for years on many cars and can’t fault it. Brilliant wax protected shine without the need for a prewash although obviously if the car had been used in an off ro...

Re: Interesting Video for 1.2T Owners

As the video suggests many manufacturers are going down the small capacity, turbocharged engine route and squeezing the last bit of efficiency from them to the detriment of reliable running in the medium to long term. There are for example quite a few 1.2 turbocharged SUVs from other companies out t...

Re: Road sign recognition

That is a good suggestion but I did think of that as perhaps being the cause and gave the screen a good clean in the area of the camera, but the option in the menu was still not available until I returned to try again. The wiper arc passes over the camera position so the screen was quite clean anywa...

Re: Road sign recognition

I noticed a few weeks ago that the traffic signs were no longer displaying in the information screen in my 6 months old CHR. I had not changed any settings. I cycled though the options in the info screen settings but the relevant one was not available ie greyed out. I left it and went back later to ...

Re: Engine problems

Sorry to hear of your frustrating problem, especially as the dealers can not fix it..are you saying there are 3 other CHRs in Shetland that are off the road with similar problems or is that a world wide figure?! If they are local there must be a common factor...is petrol up there made from treacle o...

Re: SPACE SAVER SPARE WHEEL -PROTECTION PACK 4 C-HR

When I bought my CHR last September I specified the protection pack, which consisted of mud flaps front and rear, a bumper protection stainless steel plate which is just cosmetic really, and a rubber boot liner which is useful. The spacer saver was a separate entity and not offered by my dealer, but...

Re: Toyota CHR traffic sign recognition

The traffic sign recognition system on my CHR seems to work mostly as expected and the one displayed on the nav screen agrees with the one on the information display...….except today , the one on the info display is no longer displaying and the option to configure it in the info display is greyed ou...

Re: New owner and member

Hi all. Picked up my shiny new C-HR last Thursday. What can I say? It’s beautiful, and that is after coming from an Alfa Giulietta. It is the Hybrid Intense Edition version, with the full premium JBL audio system and Touch 2 Go navigation also with voice commands. Loving it. 681CBC0A-C330-4E31-89E7...
