Congratulations on your ingenuity, but are you sure that is safe? It obscures your view of the road rather a lot. I think in the UK that would not be seen as legal. That would be illegal in my country. Too much of the view is obstructed I sit higher than in this view so there's not much of an obstr...

On hills the automatic hill start assist stops any rollback. Anywhere else I just prevent creep wit...

Re: Servicing, HHC and warranty
I don't think you stand any chance of the dealer replacing a faulty HV battery free of charge, they don't even want to replace faulty 12v batteries free of charge under warranty.

Re: Software Update
If Toyota issue software updates, then there are improvements within it! Why wouldn’t you download it?? No brainier. The point I am making is what evidence is there that any of the map updates we download contain any vehicle software updates. I know they update the maps, but what vehicle software u...

Re: Software Update
I would argue dealer's statement! I'm talking about software running on multimedia unit, not about any other pieces of software on the car. While I was owning the 2018 C-HR, the upgrade I was doing was changing the software, not only the maps. A major change brought was 3D like interface on radio i...

Re: Software Update
I was told by my dealer that the map update is just a map update and nothing more, any software updates that are needed can only be done by the dealer. Updating the maps twice a year is a customer choice.

Re: battery replacement under warranty
