Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
Has anyone tried the windbreakers for the windows from Toyota that can be attached to the front and back windows? They're designed so you can open the window a little when it's raining. I wonder if they help any with the wind noise. I purchased some 3rd party windbreakers that actually attach inside...

Re: Toyota chr skidding going up steep incline
Can you explain what you mean by skidding? When at a full stop are you sliding back down? Or, are you unable to get going upwards and are skidding as you accelerate?

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
I wonder if I can safely put soundproofing material over that area between the door and car in the picture. Not sure if that's a port for hot air to escape the engine area. I'll have to ask Toyota.

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
DutCHR, I completely soundproofed my boot, also the wheel wells, and although it helps, it's not as much as I had hoped. Mjvdzwet, I taped up my mirror joint and it did help, but there's so much other wind noise that it's hard to pinpoint exactly where it is all coming from. Take a look inside your ...

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
Good idea. But I do think it's the ROF only because of my previous experience with them (also all weather) and how dramatically it changed when I went to normal tires which were all weathers. But, alas, it might not matter because CHR only has ROF for this car in all weather. I might try normal summ...

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
Yes, the noise is much louder when the mirrors are completely folded in. When you watch the mirror fold in you will see it rise up out of the gap and then close, the moment it rises up is when the wind noise stops for just a couple seconds and then when folded completely in it comes back. It's very ...

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
WoW you are one brave dude! I don't have it in me to do that. Let me know how it goes for you. By the way, I did discover the wind noise is mostly coming from the mirrors. Funny thing, I drove with my window open today for the first time and once I hit 70km/h it became very clear it was the mirror a...

Re: Wind Noise
Did anyone figure out how to solve this wind noise from the mirror? I did notice I could manipulate the noise when closing the mirror while driving, so I do think the mirror is involved. My dealer replaced the weather stripping around the A-pillar window this past week and that made it worse it seem...

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
Okay, thanks. I'm just confused because honestly, they didn't use much of the material that I provided and I don't hear any real difference. Wonder where they put it....

Re: The Never Ending Roaring Noise of my CHR
Mjvdzwet: could you take pictures of your wheel wells? I mean, as they are now. I just want to see if any of the soundproofing material is visible. I just had mine soundproofed and I can't see anything, at least nothing on the metal. Not sure if it would not stick there. I'm wondering what areas of ...
