Hello everybody,

I am looking at buying a 2018 C-HR 1.2 auto with AWD with under 8k on the clock - I have not been able to find any reviews that talk about the AWD system itself and how effective and reliable it is. It seems to be quite a rare option as there are not many being offered for sale around the country at the moment. Does anyone on the forum have this version of the C-HR and if yes, could you tell me what you think of the car, what is it like to drive, do you like it? Is the AWD worth having if you are looking for more grip on winter roads and occasional ski trips to the Alps or is it not effective being that it is connected to a CVT auto gearbox? What kind of real world MPG do you get on the 1.2T with the AWD system? If they are not popular I am guessing that it may be a bad buy now in view of any future resale value or alternatively they will be rare and hold their price well. Lots of questions but I am torn and my wife would prefer we get a Corolla 1.8 hybrid. Help !! Thanks guys and girls.

Hello Swiss Tony, I agree with your wife, the 1.8 Corolla is a new powertrain and although not AWD, it is a great car. I would agree with your concerns about the value risk of a AWD 1.2 C-HR. I personally am looking forward to a C-HR upgrade with the new 1.8 powertrain, or better still the 2.0 litre Hybrid.
