Well after 4 years of owning my Pearl white CHR it was time to move on,it's been a very enjoyable car to own,ok I had the same small problems most of us had of flat battery which was changed under warranty and the annoying condensation problem which I've been told Toyota know about and are looking into it.
But overall it put a smile on my face and I think it's still one of the sharpest looking cars around.
I will be looking in on the forum every now and then and thank all the forum members for all the helpful info.
Stay safe.

Is that a UX or NX. Can't go wrong with a Lexus - great cars!

Yes the UX and NX look very similar,it is a UX Takumi F-sport.It's a very similar size to the CHR but slightly bigger at about 4" longer and 2.5" wider and about the same height, although the boot is very small at about a third less space, which is not a problem for me but for a family would not be good.

I was looking for a UX before I bought the C-HR. Had one as a loan car and thought it was great. Similar cost new as the C-HR but dealers are much more accommodating and honest IMO. I'm still looking for UX but may wait until summer until ( used )prices drop a bit more.
Any feedback on it would be appreciated. Think the entertainment system is not great.

As soon as the UX was announced I knew I was going to have one, like you I had a 48 hour test drive last year ,but prices were very high as it was such a new car.I've been keeping an eye on prices for a long time and in the last month or so prices have taken a tumble, the UX i purchased is less than 6months old and less than 1750 miles so as new and i saved over £130000 off the original list price😳,to put that into context my CHR depreciated only £11200 in 4 years😀,one thing to note is Lexus seem to price the cars that attract the luxury tax I.e over £400000 when new very keenly and sometimes are a lot less than older not so well equipped cars, this is obviously to counteract the extra £320 on top of normal road tax you pay for 5 years,as they say swings and roundabouts.
As you say Lexus dealers are in another league, and it gives you a lot of confidence.
If you want any particular info let me know.

Think my Excel was £30k new.......been offered £16k for it recently ( 3 years old ), although, I've only owned it for 1 of those years. 🤬
One disappointing aspect with Lexus is the miserly 3 year warranty. Would expect 5 years ( as Toyota ) or even 7!
Feedback - if you could just confirm if UX is a better all round car than the CHR and if there any niggles/negatives.
Thanks.

Yes car prices are all over the place at the moment, originally offered around £15000/£153000 but ended up getting £16400,1 owner 11000 miles.
Lexus warranty is a joke but having owned a couple of Lexus cars as you know they are built to a very high standard,I owned a Lexus sc430 for 8 years apart from the o2 sensors(£400 if I remember) and 2 lots of boot struts at about £60 a pair it was so reliable,I actually owned another one of these Sc430s for a while, you can tell I like them!
I don't like to put the CHR down but comparisons between the two are not apples for apples, the CHR is a superb car for the money and very reasonable to run, mine was £0 road tax I was getting over 50mpg and service was reasonable, the Lexus IS £465 tax (if original purchase price over €40000)40mpg(to be fair that is only one drive where to be fair I did hoon it a bit,and servicing is around £100 more per service.
The Lexus feels so well planted and performance excellent, loads of toys, heads up,360 camera,as well as heated seats and wheel they are also chilled, powered tailgate(I love this),I think the car is a real winner.
Downside so far is the Lexus entertainment system it's a faff to operate, but cannot think of anything else, although that could change.
Otherwise it's a wonderful car which I'm sure you will be more than happy with if you get one.
I'll leave you with the best positive I can give you is my wife who can't be bothered with cars at all insisted on using the UX when she did our shopping today!(she always uses her own car),that says it all.

Thanks. My wife loves the CHR but loves the UX a bit more. Keeps wanting to go look at a few, but obviously can't atm.
I'm really itching to get back into a Lexus. My previous car was a CT and at 9 years old it still looked and drove as it was almost new. From a sensible point-of-view.......the hybrid systems are common across Lexus and Toyota, so not too bothered about that area. More the fact that Lexus are still built in Japan, thus giving you the best build quality around.

I am soon about to leave as I am getting a Toyota GR Yaris when they have built it.
The CH-r is a lovely car and am still a bit gutted at parting ways but I really fancy getting a hot hatch again for fun driving in the dales. The 1.2 is lovely but not a car to get me up early to simply go for a fun drive like I used to in my Celica TS. I will always regret letting it go but can't have two.

Tomorrow I'm leaving my deposit on a new UX. Lexus are offering £2500 deposit allowance and they're giving me £16k for my CHR Excel. Not as much as I'd want, but better than most dealers.

Car is £29k on the road. Having it on PCP for 3 months, then paying it off. You don't get the £2.5k if you pay cash for it. 🙄

I've gone for Premium Sport spec in Sonic Titanium. Sales guy is loaning me his on Tuesday for the day to make sure the car is 100% what I want. 🤞

How do you get OTR for £29k, on price list it's £33,500 ?

Congrats. by the way :)
Sorry, it's £30,900 OTR. Then take off the £2500 Lexus deposit allowance. £28,400. Just hope I like the car enough now to commit.

I'm sure you will love it,you won't want to hand it back!
Sonic titanium is a really great choice of colour as in different lights looks almost bronze but in other lights looks silver, what colour interior are you going for?
I've only managed a couple of drives in mine last one was to the Lexus dealer for dashcam fitting, even though only a short drive it put a big smile on my face.
I'm sure your looking forward to Tuesday, let us know how you get on.

Interior trim is black leather. It's the standard trim with Premium Sport.
Dealer is swapping my dash cam into the CHR.
Only 2 minors are there are no auto folding mirrors and 18" run flat tyres, so no tyre repair kit or spare wheel.
