Hey guys!
I'm waiting for my C-HR Exec Hybrid to arrive and I choose one without navigation considering I preferred using my phone in my old Mini even thought I had navigation installed.

Has anyone spotted a functional and good looking dock that suits the C-HR?

Windshield suction cup is out of the question, I need it to be discrete and stylish.

I'll post links below if I find any but all suggestions are appreciated!

How well does the Belkin holder fit your car? thanks
As it was mentioned before, you have to put some effort as cup holders aren't round in C-HR. After some work it held perfect, BUT...

...the first one broke as I must have used too much force tightening it. Belkin replaced it promptly (took ~3 days with delivery). The replacement also snapped a few days ago :/ This time it just shattered inside and all three holding parts came out while driving and no force used. Wonder if Belkin would refund it...

You think something like this might work better?
It's magnetic, so I wouldn't even consider it, because you have two options: glue a magnetic sticker to the back of your phone or put a phone in a case which holds a magnetic sticker.

Anyway, the mechanics are probably the same. I think the materials matter. Belkin is all plastic (although it didn't feel cheap). Maybe that's why it didn't last long.

I think I might be going for this one:
https://www.kenu.com/collections/vent-mounts/products/airframe-pro

Had the 'normal' Kenu airframe in my other car, and it worked perfectly. Now however, the air vents are too deep behind the center display, so it won't fit properly.

This Airframe pro might work, as there seems to be more space between the holder and the air vent clips?

Any thoughts or anybody who has tried this?

As of this month (February 2018), you can only use your handsfree mobile phone in Sweden behind the wheel. Sweden is thus the last EU country to introduce this measure. For a violation, you pay a fine of 160 euros.

Mobile phones - Hands-free is an adjective describing equipment that can be used without the use of hands or, in a wider sense, equipment which needs only limited use of hands, or for which the controls are positioned so that the hands are able to occupy themselves with another task (such as driving).

So I don,t understand way it is forbidden to have
Phone in pocked and Even one in a bag i the trunk.
I only can think that this was before 2018
Now in 2018 to me it seems crisp and clear with the mobile in my pocket I can phone handfree (use the button on
the steer and voice control in the CHR)

This is not true:

The law in Denmark says you're not allowed to use/operate handheld cellphones while driving.

In the old guide from before 2008 to that specific law(the guide tells you how to interpret the law) - it was interpreted so that you were only allowed to operate a cellphone if it was mounted/in a holder. That meant if you had the phone in your pocket or bag, you weren't allowed to answer it via bluetooth.

The guide was changed in 2008 - due to the advancement of technology in that area.
Now you're free to have it anyway you want in the car, pocket, bag or whatever, as long as you don't operate the handheld cellphone as handheld.
As soon as you put it in a holder, it's no longer handheld and you are then allowed to operate it, but you must still abide by:
In Danish: Færdselsloven §3 - Trafikanter skal optræde hensynsfuldt og udvise agtpågivenhed, så at der ikke opstår fare eller forvoldes skade eller ulempe for andre, og således at færdslen ikke unødigt hindres eller forstyrres. Der skal også vises hensyn over for dem, der bor eller opholder sig ved vejen.
Which basicly translates to - You must exercise caution and not do anything that disturbs your driving - So no texting and no reading texts etc.

Appreciate that this thread is a bit old and has probably been done to death......but....

First thing I have done is to install a magnetic phone dock / holder in the C-HR. I think the attached pictures should be pretty self-explanatory but I have used a magnetic holder and a metal plate in the back of my phone case and stuck / wedged it between the display screen and dials which I think makes it pretty secure, easily in reach and sight and is very discreet when not being used to hold the phone!

Best thing is my phone case matches the colour of the blue interior strip perfectly :D

Anyway, let me know what you think..... and I will post the link to where I bought it on-line if anyone wants one....only cost a few quid too ;)

(Apologies some of the photos are sideways  )

Still waiting for my magnetic dock, i was aiming for this spot, but it looks like the steering wheel blocks the phone and i intended to use it as gps too. I was aiming for the right side near the door, just above the vent.
